  • A standard session is 50 minutes long. This is to allow breaks between back-to-back sessions.

  • Insurance is not accepted at Megan Bathen-Gonzalez Psychotherapy. All services are fully private pay. There are a small number of spots open for sliding scale fees, as well as the option to submit a super-bill to your insurance.

  • That's completely okay. It's normal to need a little more time before taking that step.

If you'd prefer, you're welcome to reach out by email first. You can share a bit about what's been going on or ask any questions you have, and I'll respond personally.

  • A superbill is a detailed receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. It includes information such as the type of service provided, diagnosis codes, and session fees. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific out-of-network benefits.

  • While I have experience and love working with kids, I do not currently accept minor clients. I find the work with kids is most productive in person, and I do not have the space to offer in-person services currently.

That said, I will hold both of you accountable. If something is harmful, avoidant, or escalating conflict, we'll address it directly and respectfully.

  • As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I am not able to prescribe medications. If this is something you are looking for, I would be happy to give you a referral.
