Meet Megan

Trauma & Relationship Therapist

in Los Gatos, California

You know something isn’t working. You just can’t figure out why.

Why you say yes when every part of you means no. Why being truly seen by someone feels more terrifying than being alone. Why you keep ending up in relationships that leave you feeling small, or stuck, or like you’re always the one giving more. Why you can want closeness and push it away at the same time.

And maybe the one that stings the most, why you can be so patient and generous with everyone in your life, and so relentless and unkind toward yourself.

You’re not looking for someone to tell you what to do. You already know what you should do. You want to understand why you can’t seem to do it, and what it would take to actually change.

That’s exactly the kind of work I do.

Therapy with Megan in Los Gatos, CA could be right for you if...

  • You say yes when you mean no, and you don't know how to stop

  • You want to be close to people but something always gets in the way

  • You’re terrified of being truly known, even though you crave it

  • You keep ending up in the same dynamic, different person

  • You’re so hard on yourself in ways you'd never be with someone you love

  • You’re unhappy in your relationship, but you can't tell if it's fixable or if you’re the problem

  • Something happened in your family growing up that you’ve never fully made sense of

  • You want to stop parenting the way you swore you never would

These aren't flaws. They're patterns. And patterns have origins. That's where we start.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

I want to welcome the most shameful parts of you. The messiest. The hardest to understand. Not because I have a magic wand, but because I believe that when we get curious about those parts instead of fighting them, something shifts. You start to understand yourself in a way that actually sticks. And slowly, those parts that felt like the problem become the place where the real healing happens.

This is a space for all of it.

About Me

Hi, I'm Megan.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Gatos, offering telehealth therapy for individuals, couples, and families throughout California. I specialize in the patterns that keep showing up, in how you feel about yourself, how you move through relationships, and the quiet ways your early experiences are still running the show.

Meet your virtual therapist in California.

Why I do this work

I believe our happiness lives or dies in our relationships.

First the relationship we have with ourselves, the story we inherited about who we are and what we deserve, usually written long before we had any say in it. And then in how we show up with the people we love, and whether those relationships feel like home or like something we’re always trying to earn.

That belief is at the center of everything I do.

This work is personal to me.

I come from a family of seven kids. I know firsthand that systems are complicated and lovely, that mental health and struggle don't discriminate, and that the family you grow up in shapes you in ways you don't always get to choose. Some of what gets shaped has to be unlearned before you can show up the way you actually want to.

I also know what it is to love someone who is struggling with addiction. I know the particular kind of stuck that comes from being in a relationship that isn't right for you, feeling it in your bones, and still not being able to find your way out. I know grief that arrives before you're ready for it. And I know what it looks like to slowly untangle beliefs and patterns that were handed to you long before you had any say in them.

Healing is not something I read about and teach. It is something I have lived and keep living. That is why I take this work so seriously, and why I believe so deeply in what it can do.

That's what I mean when I talk about intentional living. Not a perfect life but a chosen one.

That’s the kind of clarity I want to help you find too.

My Values as a Therapist

    Non-Judgement

You're going to bring me the parts of yourself you don't show anyone else. The thoughts you're ashamed of. The patterns you can't explain. The feelings that don't make sense even to you. None of it will change how I see you. That's not a policy, it's the whole point.

    Authenticity

If you have to perform in here, we're missing it. This space only works if you can actually show up as yourself, messy, uncertain, unfinished. I'll do the same. Real change doesn't happen in a room where everyone is pretending.

    Dignity

You have every right to feel respected and safe in our work together. Always. If something isn't working, you can say so. You are not here to be fixed or managed. You are here to be met.

A little about me outside of the office

When I'm not in session, I'm navigating the beautiful chaos of early motherhood alongside my husband.

My husband and I are building a bicultural, bilingual family together, and that experience has deepened how I think about identity, the invisible rules we inherit, and what it means to hold more than one way of seeing the world at once. That lens lives in my work.

Most of my life, I have been an athlete. I was a competitive tennis player, have run several half marathons, and spent years doing and learning to teach yoga. This background shapes how I think about the body as a place where our history shows up and the healing power of movement.

I love to travel, and I'm almost always happiest when I'm outside. I've lived in India, El Salvador, and Spain, and something about moving through unfamiliar places has always helped me think, unlearn, and expand my way of seeing things.

Fair warning: I love coffee, meaning there will likely be coffee on my end of the screen.

Fun fact! I am bilingual and speak Spanish.
