Family Therapy

in Los Gatos, California

When one person struggles, the whole family feels it.

Helping families find their way back to each other.

The tension, the arguments, the disconnection, the acting out or shutting down, these patterns don’t exist in isolation. Families develop ways of coping over time, especially during stress, transition, or conflict. What may look like “the problem” is often a signal that something in the system needs attention.

In our work together, we slow things down and look at the bigger picture. We explore how each family member’s reactions, roles, and protective patterns interact and how those reactions can keep everyone stuck without anyone meaning for it to happen.

Family therapy isn’t about identifying a scapegoat or placing blame. It’s about increasing understanding, strengthening communication, and helping each person feel heard within the system.

This work is for families willing to approach one another with curiosity instead of criticism. When safety and clarity grow, new patterns can take root, ones built on steadiness, respect, and connection.

Start a new pattern; bring everyone to the table.

What You'll Gain

What family therapy can offer you

  • A way to actually hear each other — move past the surface conflict and understand what everyone is really trying to say

  • Tools to break the cycle — recognize the patterns you inherited and consciously choose something different for your kids

  • A stronger parent-child connection — rebuild trust and closeness even after things have gotten hard

  • Support for your child or teen — help them feel understood, regulated, and less alone in what they're going through

  • A healthier co-parenting dynamic — learn to work together as parents even when the relationship between you is complicated

  • Clarity in blended family transitions — navigate new roles, loyalties, and boundaries in a way that works for everyone

  • Repair between adult children and parents — address the old wounds, unspoken resentments, and long-standing patterns that have kept you distant or stuck in the same dynamics for years

  • A family culture that feels safer — build the kind of environment where everyone, kids and adults, can actually be themselves

The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy recognizes family therapy as one of the most effective approaches for addressing relational and behavioral patterns across generations.
